yoke hanging on a wall

Christians must choose whether they are yoked to Christ under the New Covenant or bound to the Law under the Old Covenant. Drawing heavily from Galatians, Romans, Hebrews, and Matthew 11, it emphasizes that Jesus fulfilled and ended the Law through His death on the cross. Believers are no longer justified by obedience to the Law but by faith in Christ alone. Be warned: returning to Law-based living—or mixing Law with grace—places Christians back under bondage, condemnation, fear, and weakness.

Are You Yoked to Christ or the Law?

There is so much confusion in the Church today concerning the New Covenant. It is important to go back to the Word of God to see what He says about the New Covenant, so that you don't go under something that has passed away in Christ.

Gain clarity on this subject so that you will not be snared by the deceitfulness and the tricks of the devil. He is walking around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.

Praise God for the truth because it is the truth that sets you free.

That truth is Jesus Christ.

He is the fulfillment of the Law.

He was a shadow that was revealed when God prepared a body for Himself and became the Son of Man.

Understanding the New Covenant

It was God's promise to bring a New Covenant.

Hebrews 8:7-9 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

Note the word "not". This Covenant is not according to the Old Covenant, the first Covenant which God made with Moses.

It is very important that you understand that.

Hebrews 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Many Christians do not understand this and believe the Old Covenant is still around. But, it is vanishing away.

When Paul wrote this, the temple hadn't yet been destroyed. In 70 AD, the temple was destroyed.

The whole Old Covenant passed away at that time and the Jews were scattered.

To bring clarity to this point, Wesley's notes adds, "In saying A new covenant, he hath antiquated the first - Hath shown that it is disannulled, and out of date. Now that which is antiquated is ready to vanish away - As it did quickly after when the temple was destroyed in 70 AD."

A lot of Christians get confused by Hebrews 8:13, mistakenly believing that it is going to vanish away at the end of the age, this present age that we are currently living in.

In actuality, it has already vanished away. It is gone!

The New Covenant That Was A Secret - Made Manifest

The new Covenant was a secret. It was a mystery hidden in the Old Covenant.

Even the angels didn't know what was going on.

Benediction: The Divine Blessing

The Lord gave Paul awesome revelation of this Gospel to the Gentiles, as he was explicitly called to preach to them.

Paul's gospel was given to him by Jesus Christ.  It was unveiling and revealing the mystery that was in the Old Testament.

Christ is mentioned as a shadow in the Old Testament, which was pointing to Him. When

Jesus Christ was crucified, that mystery was revealed. The true reason for this awesome Covenant that God would make with Man was uncovered.

Romans 16:25-26 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:  To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Jesus Christ has now made it manifest for obedience to the faith.

The difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant is faith.

The Law was not of faith but of works.

The foundation of the New Covenant is now through faith by love, and a new creation led and established by the Spirit. It is brought about by trusting in our Lord Jesus Christ and not in the Old Testament Law.

In the Old Testament Law, the people of God were led by rules and regulations.

It was not through faith but through works. The works of the flesh, not the works of the Spirit.

The New Testament is about the works of the Spirit, by faith in love through Jesus Christ.

Under God's Old Covenant, mankind was held in bondage and slavery to sin and death.

Then Christ died. We were crucified with Him, we died with Him, and we were buried with Him.

Then came the New Covenant where we are led by the Spirit.

We are free! We are no longer under the Law of Sin and Death, but have come under the new Law in Christ.

This is the Law of the Spirit of Liberty and the Law of Love.

Many religious, legalistic people can't understand this because they are bound up with traditions of men, which are not according to the Word.

The Word is spiritually discerned. It is very important that you have the Holy Spirit so that you can know the truth.

Even the disciples could not see the truth. Jesus had to open their eyes so that they could see.

The Glorious New Covenant Unveiled

Galatians 6:14-16 (Amplified Bible) But far be it from me to boast [in anything or anyone], except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For neither is circumcision anything [of any importance], nor uncircumcision, but [only] a new creation [which is the result of a new birth—a spiritual transformation—a new nature in Christ Jesus]. Peace and mercy be upon all who walk by this rule [who discipline themselves and conduct their lives by this principle], and upon the [true] Israel of God (Jewish believers).

Galatians 5:5-6 (Amplified Bible) For we [not relying on the Law but] through the [strength and power of the Holy] Spirit, by faith, are waiting [confidently] for the hope of righteousness [the completion of our salvation]. For [if we are] in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but only faith activated and expressed and working through love.

The Old Testament Law is not of faith. It does not work through love.

It was a commandment and if you broke it, you had to pay the penalty. There were severe consequences for breaking the law.

Unfortunately, many Christians are held in bondage through this legalistic law-keeping attitude, which is not the Spirit of Love.

You are still under law in the New Testament. The Law is written on your heart now.

You don't need to try to keep the law. All you have to do is love. Love Jesus Christ, love your neighbor a yourself, and allow the Holy Spirit to change you and make you into His image and likeness.

This is a miracle working process.

The Old Covenant Law was not about the miracle working process that the glorious New Covenant revealed in Christ.

This is a transformation not done with human hands like the circumcision was done under the Old Law. This is a transformation done through the Holy Spirit, and the hands of God.

It is not performed by the hands of Man, but by the hands of God.

The implementation and process of the Law was the flesh, but now you are not under the flesh anymore. The flesh has been crucified.

You are now under the Law of the Spirit in Christ Jesus.

You have now been set free from this Law which brought wrath, condemnation, and brought you under the Law of Sin and Death if you broke it.

No one was ever made righteous through it.

To go under the Law is actually going to bring death.

These are foundational keys to your Covenant promises. As far your foundational keys go, it is following this rule that you walk in this new creation and your new nature, which is your New Man.

Many Christians wrestle with sin because they are not walking in this New Man, the new creation, by faith. Rather, they are walking in the Old Man, which was crucified with Christ.

You must understand that your old nature has been crucified. It is no longer you that lives but Christ who lives in you.

Without having that faith and understanding, you will get constantly tripped up by the devil.

The devil, once he gets you into the flesh, then you will be unable to operate in the new nature that Jesus Christ has given you. It is a free gift.

Holiness comes through Jesus Christ.

He fulfilled the Law for you.

Now, that victory comes through Jesus Christ.

This nature, which is Jesus Christ, is manifested through you by the Holy Spirit in this new law of love.

It is a totally different Covenant as we read earlier. That is why God said, "I shall make a New Covenant, not according to the one I made with your forefathers."

So why do Christians want to go under the Old Testament Law?

Even in Acts 15 it explains that the Old Testament Law was never given to the Gentiles. It was given to the Jews.

Why do Gentiles want to go under something that was never given to them?

The only thing the Apostles told them to do was to abstain from eating things sacrificed to idols, eating and drinking blood, and fornication.

None of the Old Testament ceremonial Law was put on you.

The moral law of the Old Covenant is now written on your heart. You should not have any desire to sin. The desire for sin is taken and removed from you.

That is how you become holy. You become holy through the Spirit of God, not through the Law.

It is very important for you to understand that the Law being written on your heart does not mean for you to follow the Old Testament Law.

That will only bring condemnation and death. It will strengthen sin.

The Shadow of the Crucified Christ in the Old Testament

This ministry was unveiled through Christ. It was shown all through the Old Testament. It was a shadow of things to come.

The Old Testament is a shadow of things to come. It is very important for you to see it like that.

The Law was a shadow and a tutor, a schoolmaster, and a teacher to bring us to Christ.

Numbers 21:8-9 And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

This was a type and shadow of Christ. This was showing you that you cannot heal yourself.

You cannot make yourself righteous. You can't do anything except look at the symbolic raised serpent, which is looking at and believing in Christ Jesus.

It is so simple that most Christians miss it and fall under the traditions of men and people that want to place you under religious bondage.

This is a type and shadow. Just as Moses lifted up the bronze serpent in the wilderness so was the Son of Man to be lifted up.

What did the people have to do to be saved?

Did the have to go through any rules and regulations?

No, they just had to look at the serpent.

You must look to Jesus. The serpent was a type and shadow.

Look to Jesus.

The simplicity of the Gospel is something which Satan has veiled. He's replaced that simplicity with a bunch of rules and regulations that would actually stop people from receiving what is rightfully theirs through faith in Christ.

That faith does lead you to repentance. Repentance leads to obedience, holiness, and love.

When you love, you love Christ and receive His nature.

You will not want to sin because there was not any sin in Christ.

If you abide in Him there is no sin.

You need to get rid of the mindset of sin.

In Christ Jesus, there is no sin.

When you are in Christ, there is freedom. That is why there is freedom and liberty in Christ. It is through faith. It's by grace. It is certainly not through the works of the Old Testament Law.

Judaizers will try to bring you under the Law so that they may glory. But that glory is in vain and is futile because the only glory you should want is the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.

John 3:14-15 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 12:30-33 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die.

Why is a raised serpent a type and shadow of Christ Jesus?

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

In Jesus Chrit by faith, not through the Law, the Old Testament.

Remember, the Law of the Old Testament never made anyone righteous. It was only their to reveal that we were sinners.

Galatians 3:1 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

The Revelation of the New Testament, the New Covenant, is in looking unto Jesus.

He is your righteousness and atoning sacrifice, not the Law. It is not by the Old Testament Law.

Beware of that because coming under the Law will cause you to fall from grace.

You cannot receive the promises of God by obeying and coming under the Old Testament Law.

That is an insult to Christ and is basically saying that Christ did not need to die on the Cross.

It is an offense and an abomination to God. If we needed the Law to be saved, then Christ died in vain.

That's what the Word of God tells us.

Not Ministers of the Old Covenant, but of the New Covenant

2 Timothy 2:1 (Amplified) So you, my son, be strong [constantly strengthened] and empowered in the grace that is [to be found only] in Christ Jesus.

Grace and power, the promise, does not come through Old Testament Law. It comes through Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.

This is what you must be very careful of. If you are going into the Old Testament, then be careful to analyze and correctly divide the Word of Truth.

So many Christians have gotten into error. We've all done that because we haven't correctly divided the Old from the New, and the Letter from the Spirit.

There is a big difference between the Letter and the Spirit. The Letter kills but the Spirit gives life.

Colossians 2:8-10 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

People's perception and understanding of the Old Testament Law has to be spiritually discerned by the Holy Spirit.

If you try to understand it with your own understanding, then you are going to get tripped up.

That's why it is so important to have anointed teachers who rightly discern and divide the Letter from the Spirit.

Christ in the Old Testament was a shadow of things to come. He was there. He was in the Old Testament, but He was unveiled at the Cross.

Christ was revealed. There was an awesome unveiling. Had Satan known He would not have crucified the Lord Jesus Christ because it was his undoing.

The Spirit Not the Letter

2 Corinthians 3:4-6 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

This letter is speaking of the Old Covenant, the Old Testament Letter.

We now have a completely different Covenant.

It is interesting that God has made us sufficient as ministers of the New Covenant.

Has has not made us ministers of the Old Covenant.

The New Covenant is totally different from the Letter, the Old Mosaic Law. This old law was given to Moses at Mt. Sinai. Don't fall into that trap.

That Law is a ministry of condemnation.

You are not a minister of condemnation. You are a minister of the New Covenant, which is not a ministry of condemnation, but a ministry of the Spirit in the life of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is your atoning sacrifice through His shed blood at that Cross of Calvary.

Beware not to get tripped up with the traditions of men which want to bring you into bondage, legalism and control.

The ministry of the Spirit in the New Covenant is all about faith, grace, and love in Christ.

The Old Testament Passed Away. Why's That?

You may be saying, what is wrong with the Old Testament?

Hebrews 7:18-19 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

That is through Christ and the New Covenant according to the Spirit of Liberty in Christ in love.

Hebrews 8:4-6 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:  Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

Better promises! The Old Covenant had a glory but it was nothing compared to the glory which was to come through Jesus Christ.

God already knew that the Law made nothing perfect. He had already made a plan for Jesus to come. That was the mystery that was to be revealed.

The Law was just a copy and a shadow.

If you go under the Old Testament Law then you are going under a copy and a shadow.

You must come out from under the shadow and come into the light. The light has been put there for a reason.

The shadow leads to the light. It was a schoolmaster to bring you to the light.

Unfortunately, many people want to stay in the shadow.

You will not access the promises of God in the shadow because God has made a better way and a better Covenant.

Christ is a mediator of a better covenant, which is established on better promises.

The Old Testament was weak and unprofitable. It never made anything perfect. It was a copy and only a shadow of a better covenant, built on better promises.

The shadow was unveiled and rolled up. What came through in it's place was clarity and the light, which is Christ, the hope of glory.

Everything is revealed through Christ. The perfection came through Him. The righteousness came through Him.

The Law was never able to achieve these things for anyone.

The Ministry of Condemnation: The Law

Satan brings the ministry of condemnation against Christians that go under the Law.

Beware lest Satan take advantage of you concerning the ministry of condemnation. That's the Old Testament Law.

2 Corinthians 3:9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

The ministry of condemnation is referring to the Old Testament Law.

The ministry of righteousness is Jesus Christ. He is now your New Covenant, not the old.

The Letter is not your Covenant now. It's Jesus.

In fact, the Letter was never given to the Gentiles anyway. It was given to the Jews.

If you want to be a Jew and go under the Old Covenant, then I'm greatly concerned for you.

2 Corinthians 3:10-11 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.

The Old Testament Law did have a glory.

Moses had to veil his face because of that glory. The Law did come from God.

It was put there to reveal man's sin and sinfulness and the great need for a savior. It was put there to make man aware that he needed a savior.

That was the promise of God. The Messiah. He came to save man from his sins.

Unfortunately, the Jews didn't expect Him to come the way that He did because they were blinded.

That is exactly what the Law will do to you if you do not come out from under it. It will blind you to the glory of Jesus Christ.

The veil that Moses had to put over his face to shield people from that glory is removed when you receive Christ and are able to see the true glory of Jesus Christ in the New Covenant.

If you are living under the Old Covenant then you can't actually see it. It's something that you have to allow the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to see.

Going under the Law will veil you.

That is why people who go under the Old Covenant want to hang on to it. They are under that veil. They have a veil on their hearts.

It blinds their spiritual eyes from seeing the glory of Christ and the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

It is through Him, not through the Law.

Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Law. He fulfilled the Law for us on the Cross of Calvary.

That is why He said it is finished.

Romans 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

That is what the Law will do. The Law will build your own righteousness and not the righteousness of God.

Righteousness never came through the Law. It only came through Jesus Christ. He is the only one who was able to fulfill the Law for us.

No man was ever made righteous through the Law.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

If you think that you are better than Christ, then go for it!

But if you fail in one thing concerning the Law, you fail the whole Law. It doesn't matter what it is. If you keep the Sabbath and you fail, then you've actually failed in the whole Law.

You will cut yourself off from Christ by trying to do that. It is foolish to attempt to keep the Old Testament Law yourself.

Satan loves deceiving Christians into feeling condemned by bringing them under the Old Testament Law.

This mindset will bring you into seeing the shame of your own nakedness. It will literally slay you into total defeat and failure.

Instead of seeing His righteousness, Christ's righteousness, as your covering, by faith through grace, your covering will be something that doesn't even exist. It passed away in Christ.

That is going to leave you naked and all you will see is your own nakedness, shame and guilt.

That is why Christ came. To be a covering. He gave you a covering that made you righteous.

That is the righteousness of Christ through faith.

You receive it by grace.

Satan wants to stop you from entering into the throne room boldly by this tactic.

If you have the righteousness of Christ through faith in Him as your atoning sacrifice, then you are going to enter into the throne room of God boldly. You will know that you are perfect before God.

God accepts you because of His Son. Not because of a bunch of rules and regulations that you put yourself under regarding the Old Testament.

The devil loves putting believers under the Old Covenant. He wants to get you under the ministry of condemnation.

The New Covenant Is Equipped to Overcome Sin

Romans 6:3-4 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

The Law never did that.

If you're trying to mix the old rules and regulations and trying to do things through the ten commandments, then you're actually doing that in your own righteousness.

Jesus Christ fulfilled that for you on the Cross.

It is an offense to God.

This newness of life comes through Christ. It does not come through the Law.

Romans 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

So, what happened in the resurrection? What did Christ do?

He triumphed over Satan, over powers and principalities, and over the whole world!

He triumphed!

Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

It is very important that you understand this whole concept, the message of the Cross.

The crucified old man, the old self was taken to the Cross with Lord Jesus.

That old self wants to go back under the Law. That old self wants to get you into works, rules, and regulations.

It's what Satan uses. He uses the body of sin, the old man. That's where Satan is yoked. Satan is yoked to your flesh and to the old man.

That's why Jesus had to find a way to cut that off.

The circumcision of the Spirit is the cutting off of the old man.

Christians get caught up with not being able to discern the Letter from the Spirit.

The Old Testament is the Letter. The New Testament is the Spirit.

The Old Testament was the cutting off of the foreskin in circumcision. In the New Testament it is certainly not cutting off the foreskin.

It's a spiritual circumcision now.

It is the same with the Sabbath. Many Christians are totally confused about this. There is a letter Sabbath and a spiritual Sabbath. The spiritual Sabbath is entering God's rest. The word

Sabbath means rest. That's why the Word of God tells you not to judge anyone about days, months, years, feasts or Sabbaths, etc. Because now, you enter into God's rest in the spirit.

Again, New Testament circumcision is the cutting off of the old man by the baptism into Christ.

This is the circumcision not done with human hands as it was in the Old Testament, but with the hand of God, by His Spirit.

It's a spiritual transformation.

Get out of the deception of coming under the Letter and legalism and falling from grace.

Do not try to do things in your own works or be righteous in your own strength by obeying the Old Testament Law.

No one was able ever to achieve that apart from Jesus Christ himself.

The Law is not of faith. So, why would you try to do something that is not of faith?

Not to walk by faith is sin!

Romans 6:4-5 (Amplified Bible) We have therefore been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory and power of the Father, we too might walk habitually in newness of life [abandoning our old ways]. For if we have become one with Him [permanently united] in the likeness of His death, we will also certainly be [one with Him and share fully] in the likeness of His resurrection.

It Is truly awesome when you can get your head around this truth.

Do you believe this?

Is this what you believe?

Are you walking in this truth? In God's resurrection power and in your position and your authority?

Where are you seated? Where is Christ seated?

Christ is seated in heavenly places right now at the Father's right hand.

Are you seated with Christ?

Are you walking in your kingdom position as a high priest of the Lord, now?

This is not according to the Old Covenant but according to Christ.

He is the mediator of a better Covenant. He is your high priest.

He has made us all priests.

When you fully understand this truth, you'll also understand how Satan has tricked Christians into mistaken identity.

One of the biggest tactics that Satan uses against Christians is to deceive them about their identity.

That's why some Christians with rejection, guilt, shame. They have not allowed themselves to enter into their true position in Christ.

This is our inheritance, which is grace. It is a free gift.

Romans 6:6a (Amplified Bible)  We know that our old self [our human nature without the Holy Spirit] was nailed to the cross with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with

That old man was crucified with Christ and it was cut off, not with human hands by the Letter, but by the Spirit.

Can you see the parallel?

This is the difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Romans 6b-7 (Amplified Bible) We know that our old self [our human nature without the Holy Spirit] was nailed to the cross with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin. For the person who has died [with Christ] has been freed from [the power of] sin.

Do you believe that?

If you go under the Old Testament law of the letter, then you will fall from your position in Christ.

It is really spiritual adultery.

You will fall from grace.

It is a very dangerous thing to go under the Law.

That is why Paul was so angry in Galatians.

He was angry with the false teachers that were coming in and perverting the Gospel of Christ by re-instituting the Old Testament Law.

Christians do this in so many ways. We all need to dig into the scriptures and understand the difference between the Letter and the Spirit.

This is where the problem lies. Many are not rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

"The person who has died with Christ has been freed from the power of sin".

That's where you are now.

You are free!

You are not under the power of Satan. You are no longer a slave to sin.

You are now a slave to righteousness in Christ Jesus and have become am heir.

You are becoming an overcomer.

How do you overcome?

You overcome by the blood of the Lamb, the word of your testimony, and by not loving your life unto death.

That is not the Old Law, but the New Covenant.

It is no longer you that live but Christ that lives in you.

You have died!

You should not longer be a slave to sin because your body of sin died. It was nailed to the Cross. You were raised with Christ.

Are you aware that spiritually you are seated with Christ?

Are you aware of that?

Are you walking in that?

Or are you allowing Satan to walk all over you because he has deceived you? Are you allowing him to lie to you and tell you that you are not righteous?

If you go under the Old Testament Law, then he is right! You are not righteous.

Your righteousness can only come through Christ. It does not come through Old Testament Law.

You have to realize that sin no longer has any dominion over you if you are indeed in Christ.

with Him now.

You need to examine yourself.

Get out from under deception!

Does Christ have sin?

Certainly not!

Well, neither do you!

You must walk in this newness of life by faith to receive his righteousness and victory, as you are one with Him through the Cross.

It is through the Cross by faith that you inherit His victory.

He gives it to us. We are His church now.

We are no longer separated from Him, but we are one with Him.

We are his glorious Church and the glorious mystery that has been revealed.

God put Adam to sleep and opened up his side, took his rib out, and created the woman, his bride.

That's a type and shadow of Christ revealing His Church.

We see Jesus on the Cross and He died. God put Him to sleep and what happened?

His side was opened up.

What came out?

Blood and water.

God revealed His bride, his Church, whom you are.

You are his Church!

That is an awesome revelation of the natural things in contrast to the Spirit.

Adam having his side opened up was a shadow of things to come.

God brought forth woman, Adam's bride, and later on it was a sign and shadow of things to come and a better plan.

This mystery has been revealed through the Cross and through the love of God.

All of this He revealed through His love.

Jesus paid such a huge price for us to enter into His righteousness, His holiness, and His finished works by faith through grace.

It's not by your works!

If you go under the Law, then it is your works.

That's the difference: your works vs. His works.

Are you going to become righteous through your own works?

Certainly not!

It is only through His works. It has to be though faith in His works.

You must look to Him.

Just as it was with the serpent on the pole, are you looking to Jesus?

When you look to Jesus, then you receive your freedom because He is your righteousness and your atoning sacrifice.

You are complete in Him and one with Him.

He is in you and you are in Him. Christ and you are inseparable.

You are one.

When we all come together as believers we are all one body. That body is the body of Christ.

The Church is a great mystery that is being revealed.

You have been given awesome power and authority to demonstrate that power and authority to the principalities and powers.

Christ is manifesting himself through all of us.

You need to allow that to happen purely by being obedient through faith and by receiving His grace, His mercy, and His love.

Going Back Under the Law Is Adultery to Christ!

Romans 7:1-4a (Amplified Bible) Or do you not know, brothers and sisters (for I am speaking to those who know the Law), that the Law has jurisdiction [to rule] over a person as long as he lives? For the married woman [as an example] is bound and remains bound by law to her husband while he lives; but if her husband dies, she is released and exempt from the law concerning her husband. Accordingly, she will be designated as an adulteress if she unites herself to another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free from the law [regarding marriage], so that she is not an adulteress if she marries another man. Therefore, my fellow believers, you too died to the Law through the [crucified] body of Christ,

Remember the baptism?

You are baptized into Christ. That baptism means being baptized into His death, burial, and resurrection.

You have been baptized into Him. You have been set free from this Law so that you can be married to Christ.

Romans 7:4b (Amplified Bible) so that you may belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God.

Do you see how you have been set free from the Law?

Romans 7:5 (Amplified Bible) When we were living in the flesh [trapped by sin], the sinful passions, which were awakened by [that which] the Law [identifies as sin], were at work in our body to bear fruit for death [since the willingness to sin led to death and separation from God].

The Law brought death.

Romans 7:6 But now we have been released from the Law and its penalty, having died [through Christ] to that by which we were held captive, so that we serve [God] in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter [of the Law].

When this scripture mentions the Law here it is referring to the Old Testament Law.

Do you see the difference here?

It is so important that you rightly divide and discern the word of truth.

If you want to go under the Letter you are going to die.

If you want to stay in the Spirit, then you'd better make sure that you rightly divide the word of truth and understand the Cross, the message of the Cross.

That's the real problem. Too many Christians do not really understand the message of the Cross.

What does the word say about the message of the Cross?

It is the power of God!

Not the Law. The Law is not the power of God.

It had a glory, but nothing can be compared to the glory that was to be revealed.

So, Paul through the Holy Spirit, uses the analogy of the Old Covenant marriage in the Law to explain, as a parallel, your position being dead to the Law in Christ!

This proves that if you go under the Law you will die.

That's talking about the Old Testament Law. It is not speaking of the Law of Liberty.

We are still under the Law of God, but we are now under the Law of Love, the Law of the Spirit, the Law of Christ, the Law of Liberty.

Freedom!

That's why the Word says he whom the Son sets free is free indeed. He sets us free from the

Law and from the Law of Sin and Death.

So being delivered from the Law you are to walk in the newness of life in the New Man by the Spirit (the Holy Spirit) and not the Letter (the Old Testament Law).

You actually commit adultery to Christ by going back under the old Testament Law, and that includes keeping the Sabbath Letter Law.

When you read in Hebrews which speaks of entering God's rest that is talking about Jesus Christ being our rest now.

It is not about a day, it's about Christ.

It's not about the Letter or the flesh. It's about the Spirit.

Following the Letter (the Law) is a big trap.

This whole thing about people not rightly discerning the Letter from the Spirit is dangerous.

It's the same with circumcision. If you are going to keep the Letter of the Sabbath, you might as well go and get yourself circumcised as well in the flesh.

That's foolishness.

So, going under legalism will torment your mind because it will actually strengthen sin and cause you to fall from grace.

It will make the Cross of no effect.

Many people will say that they are not under the Law, but they are if they are trying to obey the Ten Commandments.

Because in that case, you are trying to be righteous in your own strength. You are trying come under the Law in your own strength.

The whole Gospel and the message of the Cross is not about your strength. because that's just you in your own self-righteousness trying to be holy.

If that was the case, then Jesus Christ died in vain.

We are talking here about the miraculous working power of God through Jesus Christ making a way through the Cross.

That is a completely different Covenant from the Old Testament Law.

Colossians 2:11 (Amplified Bible) In Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, but by the [spiritual] circumcision of Christ in the stripping off of the body of the flesh [the sinful carnal nature],

You have to be very careful to rightly discern the Old from the New. One is of the Letter. The other is of the Spirit.

Colossians 2:12 (Amplified Bible) having been buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him [to a new life] through [your] faith in the working of God, [as displayed] when He raised Christ from the dead.

So, it's your faith connected with God that activates and releases this New Covenant Spirit of grace and love.

That's how it works!

Righteousness is by faith.

Faith is not of the Letter.

You must understand this. It is grace through faith.

Colossians 2:13 (Amplified Bible) When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh (worldliness, manner of life), God made you alive together with Christ, having [freely] forgiven us all our sins,

You see the Law was never able to do that.

It could not wipe away sins.

The blood of goats, bulls, and animals were never able to wipe away sins. All it did was cover the sins. It did not wipe them away.

The only thing that wipes sin away is the blood of Jesus Christ.

Colossians 2:14 (Amplified Bible) having canceled out the [a]certificate of debt consisting of [b]legal demands [which were in force] against us and which were hostile to us. And this certificate He has set aside and completely removed by nailing it to the cross.

The devil has a certificate against you if you go under the Old Testament Law.

If you are not abiding in faith and grace through the Cross, then you are allowing the devil to wave that certificate in your face. Then you are going to get the spirit of condemnation.

That's what Christ died for!

That's why it is such an offense to go under the Old Testament Law!

If you don't abide in the New Testament Covenant and understand it, then you are going to allow the devil to wave that certificate right in front of your face.

He doesn't forget. He's got a record. He's got a portfolio of all of your sins. He will condemn you and torment you. You are not going to break free from Him.

How did Jesus remove the certificate against us?

He nailed it to the Cross!

Colossians 2:15 (Amplified Bible)  When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities [those supernatural forces of evil operating against us], He made a public example of them [exhibiting them as captives in His triumphal procession], having triumphed over them through the cross.

It's the demons that torment you.

When you really understand the victory that you have over the enemy, it's incredible .

The devil has nothing on you!

When the Lord forgives you, the Word says that he forgets your sins!

Do you know who does remember them?

Old hairy lips. The devil.

He is constantly going to come at you. If you are not abiding in your rightful place, seated with Christ in heavenly places, knowing that you have been set free then he will have an advantage over you.

Because all of those certificates, the portfolio, that Satan is carrying have actually been nailed to the Cross.

God has forgotten about it!

So why would you want to remind God of your past sins?

Don't even remind Him of them by thinking about them!

Are the demons captives?

Yes, they are captives!

Don't let them be your slave master. Don't you become a slave to them! They should be a slave to you! They are under your feet!

Christ has triumphed over them and has placed them under your feet.

Why are they under your feet?

Because you are seated in heavenly places far above all powers, principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places.

You are above them!

They cannot even reach you. You are hidden in Christ!

That's why you are hidden in Christ.

They can't even see you or touch you if you abide in the truth by faith.

Colossians 2:16-17 (Amplified Bible) Therefore let no one judge you in regard to food and drink or in regard to [the observance of] a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day. Such things are only a shadow of what is to come and they have only symbolic value; but the substance [the reality of what is foreshadowed] belongs to Christ.

So, who is your Sabbath now?

Christ!

It's not about a day. It's about Christ.

A day is the Letter. You are now in the Spirit.

Jesus said, "Come to me all you who are heavy-laden and I will give you rest."

You enter into the rest of God in Christ.

You now have your peace through Him.

When you've got peace in your spirit man, your New Man, and you are completely resting in Christ because it's no longer your works, but His works.

Now, you rest from your works, which are futile.

You now abide in His works. His works are perfect works.

So, you come into the true Covenant of Jesus Christ because Jesus Christ is the Lord of the Sabbath.

You enter into His rest because He has already defeated the devil.

As he said on the Cross, "It is finished!".

So, you're just resting in Christ. You are in Christ.

You are resting from your works and abiding in His.

That's where the perfect peace comes by faith.

He is now your Sabbath rest. The word Sabbath means rest.

The people who want to put you under a day are putting you under the Letter.

You are not under the Letter, but under the Spirit.

So, all those things were a shadow pointing to Christ.

Satan's Armor Is Sin And It's Power Is the Law!

1 Corinthians 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

It's very important that you understand this.

Jesus Christ is your covering. He is your righteousness. He is your righteous covering.

Luke 11:21-22 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

Jesus is speaking of the demons and the devil. They have armor, a kingdom, and spoils.

What He is saying is that when someone comes and binds the strongman, then they are able to plunder his kingdom and take away his armor because he's been bound.

So the one that comes in is stronger.

Who do you think that is?

That's Jesus Christ, obviously!

So, if you are trying to do things through the Law, then you're just going to fall straight into Satan's hands.

The Word says the sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the Law.

You are going to go under sin.

You will fall from grace.

If you want to strip Satan of his power, then what do you have to do?

Abide in Christ!

Luke 11:23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

If you want to separate yourself from Christ that is not a good idea.

So, you find out that you are dead to the Law because you died with Christ.

All of the things that the Law had against you, because everyone has sin in their lives, was punishable by death. The curse of the Law is death.

Satan had a portfolio against you with a record of everything you've done.

This was taken out of the way and nailed to the Cross.

The Bible tells us that we were weak to it.

If you go under the Law, then it's just going to make you weak. If it was going to make you righteous, then there was no reason for a New Covenant.

Satan uses the Law against you to condemn you.

If you go under the Law, then you go under the curse.

You can no longer come up to God's standards in the Law.

Do not try to keep any part of the Old Testament Law, the Ten Commandments, the Sabbath, etc.

Many Christians are under legalism, including with tithing. Do a study on it, analyze it.

Determine if you are coming under the Law or giving in love under the New Testament.

Nowhere in New Testament are you commanded to tithe. It mentions tithing but it does not command you to tithe.

Where it mentions tithing it's talking about the changing of the priesthood and the order of Melchizedek.

If you want to go under the Letter, then go under the Letter and your own works.

The Law is not of faith.

Analyze things and ask yourself, "Is tithing of faith"? No, it's not!

You need to give in love.

You will come under the curse. If you go under the Law, then you will come under the curse.

You can never come up to God's standards in the Law as it never made anyone righteous.

It will bring you into works and put you right into the curse of the Law.

The demons armor is sin. Their strength is in the curse of the Law.

Where there is no Law, there is no sin.

Their armor is removed and their kingdom is spoiled.

That is the key to freedom in Christ!

The truth sets you free and that is Christ.

If you know anything about deliverance, you know that the demons have armor, cups, leaven, and banners.

If you want to know the demon's names, then go and have a look at the works of the flesh in the Bible. Those works of the flesh are all the names of demons and it's all sin. That's demons do. They orchestrate sin.

But you are not under sin. You are not under their Law.

They have no right to abide in you or around you if you come into Jesus Christ by faith.

He will set you free.

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ.

The Holy Spirit will set you free from any bondage that you have to anything that the devil will accuse against.

All you have to do is ask for forgiveness!

Forgive. Trust God. Repent. Then Christ will be able to set you free from everything and you won't be a slave to sin anymore through Christ and His atoning work through the Cross.

Satan's Greatest Weapon Has Been Removed

Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Quite clearly, no one is justified by the deeds of the Law. You are not justified by the work of the Law.

Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

The Promise Becomes of No Effect

The Word of God is awesome when you really understand the truth of the Spirit in the New Covenant.

You don't need to wrestle with the scriptures.

When you don't have the truth, you have to constantly try to make things fit.

But, when you have the truth about the difference between the Old and New Covenants everything makes sense.

Jesus is the truth.

By their fruits you shall know them.

What does the Holy Spirit do?

He brings holiness.

That is a testimony that you have overcome sin.

That is why the Bible tells you to examine yourself.

You have to examine yourself to make sure that the light that is in you is not darkness.

What does the light bring?

Holiness.

This grace that we receive from God, it's fruit is holiness.

It does not give you a right to sin. It gives you a way to be holy.

The Word says, "Be holy as I am holy."

How are you going to do that?

Certainly not through the Old Testament Law or by keeping any of the Letter.

It's through the Cross.

Romans 4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

That just sums it up, doesn't it?

If you go under the Old Testament Law, your faith is not even going to work!

Your faith will be made of no effect.

You really must make sure that you are not being put under a yoke of bondage.

That is what the Old Testament is actually. Read Acts 15. That's what they called it. They said that none of their forefathers were able to keep it, so why would they put a yoke on the Gentiles?

It was a yoke of bondage.

The only reason the Law was put their was to make Man realize that he was a sinner and that he needed a savior.

Man needed a deliverer.

Who was that deliverer?

Jesus!

Romans 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

What an awesome scripture!

How do you get out from being under the Law?

Through faith in Christ!

Just by having pure faith in Him.

It is not through your works or legalism. Nothing like that!

It's not through Old Testament letters, ceremonies.

All that got done away with. It was nailed to the Cross!

Galatians 5:4-6 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

The new commandment and covenant of the Spirit is love.

Romans 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

Now, you are under the Law of Christ by faith. Pursuing any of the works of the Old Law will actually make your faith void and the promises of God of no effect.

Pursuing any of the works of the Law, even through your own ignorance, will actually make your faith void and the promises of God of no effect.

You will always be learning but never coming into the knowledge of truth (2 Timothy 3:7).

Some time ago, I asked the Lord about certain people that were under the Law and putting people under Sabbath days. The Holy Spirit said to me very clearly, "Always learning, but never coming into the knowledge of the truth."

What that does is it brings deception.

It has the appearance of the Gospel, but it's not the real Gospel of Jesus Christ.

They haven't truly discerned and rightly divided the Word of Truth, which is Jesus Christ.

He is the truth.

He is now your atoning sacrifice and the fulfillment of the Law.

The Law was only your schoolmaster and tutor to bring you to Christ.

The mystery through the ages that had been kept secret was now revealed!

What an awesome victory that is.

Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

What has Christ Jesus done?

He's given us the keys over all the power of the enemy.

You will overcome the enemy as long as you abide in Him by faith, recognize that it is His righteousness and not yours, and that you are not able to accomplish anything except by His Spirit.

The Word of God says that it is not by might nor by power (and not by Old Testament Law) but by My Spirit, says the Lord!

Get rid of the mindset that Satan has put in Christians of unworthiness and unrighteousness.

This is caused by true ignorance of not really understanding our true Covenant rights that

Jesus Christ paid such a huge price for us to have that we would be baptized into Him and be free indeed.

In Jesus's name, amen!
