Jesus Christ is Our Covering

Jesus Christ Is Our Covering
Jesus Christ is our head. Therefore, if Christ is our head He is our covering.
There is a lot of deception in the Church with counterfeits. It all began in the Garden of Eden in Genesis.
When Adam and Eve sinned they lost their covering.
When they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, their eyes were opened and they lost the covering of Jesus Christ.
They saw themselves naked and they were ashamed. Sin is disloyalty to God and it is deserving of punishment.
Fig leaves (false covering) have been employed since the days of Adam. Yes, the nakedness of the soul cannot be covered. Man cannot cover himself or his own nakedness.
All the arguments pieced together by all who have interested themselves in this flimsy robe will come to naught.
You trying to justify yourself is a fruitless exercise. You must instead allow Jesus Christ and HIS righteousness to cover you.
Sin is the transgression of the Law. Christ was manifested in our world to take away transgression and sin as a substitute for the covering of fig leaves. Through Christ we receive the pure robe of HIS righteousness.
Man is constantly trying to cover himself through the Law and religion today. It's basically trying to sew fig leaves for themselves, which of course, are of no use.
Only the perfect pure robe and the righteousness of Jesus Christ is able to cover us.
The Law of God stands vindicated by the suffering and death of the only begotten Son of the infinite God.
Only Christ's blood can make atonement for us. The curse of the Law had to be removed. The only thing that can remove sin is the perfect sacrifice, the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.
Sin Removed God's Covering
Genesis 2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
Why is it not until sin that they knew they were naked? And how did they find out that they were naked?
Genesis 3:11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
They didn't find out that they were naked by someone telling them that.
Adam and Eve discovered their nakedness because now for the first time they experienced a sense of shame. Shame reveals nakedness and a need to cover sin.
Before sin entered the world there was no consciousness of evil in any form, but after sinning Adam and Eve instinctively knew they needed to cover themselves to protect them from God's all seeing gaze.
They began under the awesome grace of God, but through rebellion and disobedience they came out from under Grace. God's grace even before they ate from the Tree of
Knowledge of Good and Evil was there abundantly because God loved us conditionally and provided everything we needed through the Tree of Life, not through the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
Now, what did their conscience do (or not do) for them?
Their guilty consciences did not bring them back to God.
Instead it caused them to run and hide from God.
Just because all men have consciences that tell them when they are doing right or wrong doesn't mean that when they sense they have done wrong they will automatically seek God for His forgiveness.
Instead it's almost always the opposite.
Condemnation, shame, and guilt cause us to flee from God rather than to seek his forgiveness. These cause men to flee from God with a sense of unworthiness.
The Robe of Self-Righteousness
The covering of fig leaves represents man's self-righteousness and his attempts to cover his sin on his own.
The righteousness of man is under a curse. It will never be accepted by a Holy God, neither can the works of the flesh ever produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
Isn't this what the sinner does when his conscience tells him that he has sinned against God and done evil in His sight?
The first thing people do when they recognize their sins against God is to try to cover those things by doing something.
For the most part, lost people feel that they have been very successful.
They convince themselves that they are all right now. They put on a robe of self-righteousness and tell themselves that God can't see their sin any more.
They say, "I pay my honest debts. I'm a good law-abiding citizen. I go to church. I'm as religious as the next guy. I live by the Golden Rule, and keep the 10 Commandments. I haven't committed murder, or adultery." But don't you see that all of that is fig leaves?
They are religious Pharisees, attempting to keep the law. This is a fig leaf. Self-righteousness creates deception and blocks us from having a true relationship with the Spirit of God.
Our self-righteousness creates a stench in the nostrils of God. It completely undoes and negates the work of the cross.
The Pharisee vs. the Publican: The Pharisee went away with his sins in tact but the Publican was forgiven.
The Publican cried out for mercy. He recognized that he was a sinner and because of this he was justified through God's love.
But the Pharisee in his own self righteousness went away without being justified. He did not receive God's mercy. His own self-righteousness and pride kept him away from God.
This is a big trap. When we try to do things in our own strength and cover our own righteousness it leads to destruction.
Dead works are us trying to keep the law. The Law passed away in Christ. We are not under the Law but are led by the Spirit. Those who are led by the Spirit will not sin because they will naturally obey the spirit of liberty, which is the true nature of God.
They become the righteousness of God. God has now written the Law upon our hearts.
1 Corinthians 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
If we go under the law, then we will go under the strength of sin. Being governed by the law of sin and death causes sin in us to get stronger.
The Curse of Saul
The curse of Saul has a false covering.
1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
The Lord delights in us having a relationship with Him rather than religious works.
Religiosity.
God has no pleasure in religious works. He is only pleased through faith. Faith is what motivates God. If you want to please God, then learn how to walk by faith.
Walking by faith is obeying the voice of God because it is holding fast to His Word if you are led by the Holy Spirit.
1 Samuel 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
Religiosity brings in rebellion. Saul did not have his heart after the Lord like David.
David's heart was after the Lord, but Saul's heart was after man.
Saul's attitude led to rebellion, witchcraft, stubbornness, and idolatry. This is why Saul was rejected as king.
This demon stops people from walking in kingship that we believers have in Jesus Christ and blocks the anointing of God.
The Saul spirit is an Antichrist spirit, and is a religious spirit. It sets itself up in the temple of God, acts religious and wants to lead people, but actually puts them in bondage, rebellion, and idolatry.
Consequently, it causes people to be rejected by God.
The Curse of Saul's Armor
1 Samuel 17:37. David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the Lord be with thee.
David trusted in the Lord. The Lord was his strength.
David's trust was in God, not in man's covering, while Saul trusted in himself. He also feared the people.
1 Samuel 17:38-39. And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail. And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.
David took off Saul's armor. Saul's leadership represents the apostate church system today. It is false armor and a false covering.
The armies of Israel were trembling with fear every time Goliath came out. Saul was in fear as well.
The apostate system trusts in man rather than in God. They were looking through their carnal eyes and not through faith.
They didn't really know God in truth and Spirit.
They were fearful of Goliath and did not acknowledge that God could overcome him through their faith!
This a type and shadow of the apostate Church system which we see today.
The things that were are the things that will be. These things in the Old Testament are written for our admonition. When we look at these things, we have to look at them in the spirit. The Holy Spirit will reveal things to us..
Saul's armor becomes a false covering.
David, being a man after God's armor rejected the armor and false covering.
He said, "I cannot walk with this. I have not tested them". David had no faith in it.
He rejected Saul's armor, knowing that it was not from God.
So, David took the armor off.
That is what we need to do as well. We need to recognize Saul's armor and we need to discern it.
It is a counterfeit which stops you from the anointing of God and receiving God's armor.
God's armor is His righteousness, not Saul's righteousness. Obviously we know that self-righteousness is like filthy rags to God.
Removing the Curse of Saul's Armor
The nation of Israel rejected the true God by electing a King to be over them (1 Samuel 8:7).
And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.
They rejected the true king and chose a man. God answered them according to the multitude of their idols. We know that this resulted in a disaster.
The reason God did this was to show us now what to avoid and how to recognize it. This is very much a part of the Church system that we see today with the apostate system, religiosity, and Churchianity.
The fruit of Saul: rejection, rebellion, and disobedience.
Saul was not after God's own heart like David was. He was a man after the flesh.
Saul was rejected by God as was Cain.
Cain's offering was not accepted because it did not meet God's requirements, but also it was not accepted because of his countenance.
He would not listen and was unwilling to ask the Lord why his offering was rejected. It was the same with Saul.
Saul was stubborn. Stubborness is as the sin of idolatry.
Saul did not listen to the Spirit of God, but listened to man and himself. He did whatever he wanted.
He was listening to his carnal mind and his own understanding.
The Word of God says that we are not to lean toward our own understanding but acknowledge the Lord and He will direct our paths.
Saul would not submit and cleave to the Holy Spirit. He did whatever he decided to do.
He also rebelled against Samuel. He also would not wait for Samuel, but went ahead and made an offering of sacrifice without Samuel there.
He took things into his own hands.
This very much is being led by the flesh. It is also idolatry.
Saul made himself an idol. He rebelled against God in every way.
Saul had no mercy. He sought to kill David, even though David showed him time and time again that he loved him and was loyal to him. David had mercy, but Saul had no mercy.
He was a tormented man.
Saul feared man. He was operating out of weakness and was a coward. He was scared of Goliath as well as the people.
He was self-righteous. He had ego and pride. These are all the fruits of the spirit of Saul. Self-justification is trying to do things ourselves. This ties right into Saul's covering which leads to trying to justify ourselves through works (dead works) not Christ's works.
There are two types of works: the works of the Holy Spirit and our own works of the flesh.
Our self works are as filthy rags before God and they are in effect a false covering as well.
This spirit of Saul works with another Jesus, Jezebel, and Ahab. It sets itself up with rejection, shame, murder and suicide.
It is a very wicked and religious spirit. Saul claimed to be religious, and acted like a Pharisee.
The false covering of Saul will cause people to get into false gifts and charismatic witchcraft.
It also comes under the Nicolaitan doctrine. Nico means "to lord over" and laitan mean "laity".
It means to lord over the laity.
This doctrine the Lord hates. Jesus warned his disciples about it saying that they were not to lord it over each other as the pagans do.
The Son of Man came to serve and not to be served. he expects us also to walk likewise.
Leaders in the body of Christ must be servants.
David humbled himself and was elevated. Saul exalted himself and he was abased.
God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. It's a big lesson in Church leadership.
We are to be servants. Jesus was our example. He was the ultimate and perfect servant.
The spirit of Saul brings jealousy and anger. He was extremely jealous of God's anointing and God's anointed David.
It brought anger, rage, and he set out to kill David in a merciless manner.
He did not accept kindness, but was hellbent on destroying David.
David was a foreshadowing of Christ. He was a man after God's own heart.
The Saul spirit is a backsliding spirit as well. It brings a false covering, the armor of Saul.
The armor blocks the anointing of God and causes people to backslide and go back into the world.
This is Satan's objective. He offers counterfeits. It is a religious spirit that seduces, deceives and causes people to backslide.
It also causes people to murder others and commit suicide.
Saul fell on his sword and committed suicide.
This spirit brings spiritual death as well as spiritual suicide. It is a murdering spirit that is designed to destroy God's anointed.
When Saul couldn't hear from God, he turned to the witch at Endor.
Religious people with the Saul spirit listen to false spirits, and will operate in a false anointing, charismatic witchcraft, and false gifts.
This curse takes the soul captive.
We must repent and ask for God to remove Saul's armor and the mantle of "rejected by God" as well as the false anointing.
This armor brings a false mantle that blocks the Holy Spirit and the power of God.
As well as seeking deliverance we must also ask God to heal and restore our souls.
There is a process of healing and restoring the soul because all of this comes from rejection.
It's believing in man and not believing in the Word of God.
We must be very careful about who we listen to and who we believe. Otherwise we can find ourselves in a cult or accepting false doctrine.
Get under a good Holy Spirit anointed ministry.
Our Righteousness is a Filthy Garment in God's Sight
Our works are a filthy garment. Like a used menstrual cloth. Our best prayers have enough sin in them to damn us to hell for all eternity. There is nothing good in us.
Even our repentance needs to be repented of. Everything we do is tainted with sins. Most of the world is wearing fig leaves which can never shield us from God's eyes.
The cure for all of this is the grace of God. His righteousness, not ours.
Are we clothed in HIS righteousness?
If we are not, then we are naked and wretched before God.
The only way that we are justified is through our faith in Jesus Christ's finished work on the cross.
When we exercise our faith IN Jesus then we receive HIS robe of righteousness which covers our sin.
Do not try to obtain righteousness by our own works.
Without Jesus's covering we are damned and will not make it.
Our righteousness will only produce DEAD works.
What Is This Wedding Garment?
Galatians 3:27: For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Do not let dead religion rob us of our inheritance in Christ. Our inheritance is HIS righteousness, not our own. If we are covered in our own righteousness then we will end up with the armor of Saul.
The King passing among his guests represents the last judgment. We are given a wedding garment at no cost to us. It cost Jesus a lot. We are charged to keep it clean by not sinning against God.
The Lord is good and pure. We must desire to be like him and learn from him. That is putting on Christ! It is a lifestyle of repentance AND accepting God's grace and mercy.
Receive his love, repent of our sins, and accept his grace by Faith.
Grace comes through faith.
At the last judgment, we will be examined. Our nakedness will be manifested.
The only way that we can walk in Christ is by being clothed in Him. It is HIS armor. The armor IS Christ.
How to Discern the Fig Leaves from Christ
Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
It comes PURELY by saving face. Not by the law!
Death has no power over us anymore. We are not to fear death.
We are being now transformed by the power of HIS resurrection. Through HIS works and through HIS spirit. Not through the Old Testament.
We are under the New Testament. It has set us free from the law of sin and death.
Self works will strengthen sin, become a false covering, and become religious.
Abraham's faith made him righteous.
If we go under self righteousness, then we go under the bondwoman of Hagar rather than the seed of promise through Isaac and Sarah.
The law never made anyone righteous. That is why Jesus came.
Why do people go under the law? The law brings about wrath.
The law is our tutor to bring us to Christ. After faith has come there is no longer a need to be under a tutor.
We do NOT want any other covering besides Christ.
Where There Is No Law There Is No Sin!
Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Romans 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
Faith is what made Abraham righteous. Abraham was justified by faith. You also, through Christ (who is the seed of the promise through Isaac, not through Ishamel).
If you go under self-righteousness, you come under the bondwoman of Hagar, and not the child and seed of promise which is through Isaac and Sarah.
Romans 4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
The Law never made anyone righteous. That is why Jesus came, because no one was ever made perfect through the Law.
So, why do people go under the Law?
Romans 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
Romans 5:9; 13 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him; (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
Now, you are not under the Law. You are under grace. You are in Christ. In the New Covenant, you are under what is called a perfect and better Law. That Law is called the perfect Law of Liberty.
Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
The Law was only a teacher to bring us to Christ.
Galatians 3:25-27 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Putting on Christ is your covering. It is very important that you understand this. You do not want any other covering. You don't want the covering of man. The only covering that you want to come under is Jesus Christ. Christ is our covering.
Christ Covers Godly Marriage Only Where There Is Submission & Order
Christ is actually Lord over marriages. It is a great mystery because marriage is actually concerning Christ and the Church. There is a relationship between the two.
Submission and order is very important.
If Christ is our covering, how can He truly cover a marriage? What is the prerequisite for a marriage being covered?
1 Corinthians 11:2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.
Paul is writing this, but it was actually the Lord that gave him these traditions. The word translated "traditions" in some versions actually means ordinances. Ordinances are orders.
They are commandments of Jesus. You are to keep His commandments.
Do not let culture and the traditions of men distract you or bring in compromise to what the
Word of God is actually saying.
Many Churches have compromised.
It all comes down to fear of man and fear of people. Your motivation has to be God's glory and not Man's.
1 Corinthians 11:3;7 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
This truth is not popular in a lot of churches. Unfortunately, feminism has infiltrated the Church.
There are two defining debates in the Church today as to whether what the Churches are being led by. Are they literally being led by the Word of God or have they compromised with the world.
The two categories are:
Complementarianism: The belief that a husband should be the spiritual head of his family, and that the husband and wife will have different, but complimentary roles in their marriage. This is according to the Word of God.
Egalitarianism (Feminism): The belief that there is no separate gender roles in marriage and that the husband and wife will lead the family collaboratively. When you are really honest with yourself, and reflect on the word ordinance, then you'll understand that this viewpoint directly contradicts the Word of God.
In Marriage, Christ and the Church there is a symbol of relationship.
Ephesians 5:22-23 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
How can anyone misinterpret what the Word clearly says and adopt the egalitarian preaching and teaching today? Some have really cherry-picked verses in the Word of God to suit their preferences.
The root behind this is the flesh. The flesh does not want to submit. There are demons that actually control the flesh, which are Antichrist.
Ephesians 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
That is something that you really must ask yourself. Are you subject to Christ?
What does it mean to be subject to Christ?
To be subject to Christ means to submit to the Word of God. That can be hard. The flesh does not like submitting to God. The flesh has to be crucified.
You must come into obedience to the Word through the Cross, laying down your life, and not wanting your will to be done, but the Lord's will to be done in your life.
The Word says that wives should be subject to their own husbands in everything.
Wow! That's amazing.
Ephesians 5:25-26 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word
Isn't that just speaking about the marriage?
If you are actually in order with your marriage and you are obeying God's Word, then He is going to cleanse and sanctify you. That means He will deliver you, heal you, and prosper you in any way shape or form.
He will bless your marriage that He might sanctify and cleanse it by the washing of water by His Word.
This is Christ actually covering marriage.
Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Christ wants to present to himself a glorious Church and glorious marriage.
This is a great picture of marriage. It is also a great picture of submission...in the husband and the wife. Both submitting to Christ, but in order.
Ephesians 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
This is about falling into obedience. Husbands represent Christ and he has to love his wife as Christ loves the Church. Even to the point of giving his life for his wife.
The husband is commanded to give his life, but the wife is not commanded to do that.
The wife is commanded to submit.
Ephesians 5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
You can replace "church" with the word "marriage".
Marriage represents the Church.
When you are in Christ, then you are baptized into Christ.
It is no longer you that lives, but Christ that lives in you.
You are actually in Him. You are part of His body. You have been called out of the world.
The Church is the Ekklesia, which means those called out of the world.
You are actually a chose generation, a brand new species because you have been baptized into Him.
It is a great mystery.
But, you must understand God's order. God's body has order.
There is no rebellion in Jesus's body.
If there is, God will correct it. You must be correctable. You must allow the Holy Spirit to correct you, whether you are a husband or a wife. But, it must be done in love.
Ephesians 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
This is referring to the Ekklesia, the called out ones.
This is why it is so important that you understand that you are not to conform to the culture of today, but are actually called to abide in the Word that lasts forever.
God's Word does not change. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
There is no compromise here. You cannot compromise with tradition of men and culture.
That is the flesh in operation. If you are going to a Church that does that, it's compromise.
The Lord hates that. That will make you lukewarm.
Ephesians 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
This is where we actually become joined to Christ.
Ephesians 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Marriage is a great mystery, isn't it?
It's holy and blessed. But, it is only blessed if we allow Christ to bless it and to be Lord over it.
Ephesians 5:33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
Do you see the difference there? One is commanded to die (the husband is commanded to die for his wife) and the other is commanded to respect (the wife is commanded to respect her husband).
In the wife's case, this means to submit to the husband, in love. Everything has to be done in love.
There are conditions for Christ to truly cover and bless a marriage. That is why there is such a high divorce rate among born-again Christians, approximately 33%.
It's ridiculous.
The percentage is higher for the amount of marriages where the husband and wife just tolerate each other and they're just bound up with religion.
They are not walking in true love and true freedom in the Spirit, which is walking in the joy and peace that the Lord brings. The Kingdom of God is joy and peace in the Holy Spirit.
That is something you really need to be focused on: submitting to the Word and not submitting to culture.
Another great revelation is covered in 1 Corinthians 11 beginning at verse 8.
1 Corinthians 11:8-12 For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
So, you can see there that the Lord is saying that men and women are equal in God's eyes, but they have different roles.
There is a different order of authority.
That has a lot to do with the symbol of authority over a woman's head because of the angels.
The angels can only bless a marriage if the authority and order is in place.
That word "authority" actually means order and liberty. There is freedom when you have order in your marriage.
1 Timothy 2:9-12 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
These are some hard scriptures here, but it really is talking about what God expects.
Man didn't write this. This is the Word of God.
The Word of God is the same as it was yesterday. It is as true today as it was in the past.
What has happened with modern society is that Satan has brought about a situation where family life is so expensive.
In many cultures, the enemy has forced women to have to work outside of the home. Both the husband and wife are out working. Really, God created the man to go out to gather the food and hunt, and the woman was to stay home and take care of the family, bring up the children, etc.
1 Timothy 2:13-14 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
There is a divine order. This is why Paul says that it is not good for a woman to have authority over a man. It goes back to the Garden of Eden.
1 Timothy 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you in how to interpret that. As far as where the Bible says "Let a woman learn in silence and all submission", based on a few commentaries I've read it's speaking of formal Church meetings that they had in that time period.
The contradiction would be in 1 Corinthians 12:14, where it says everyone in the Church is encouraged to operate in all of the gifts, particularly to prophesy. So, there is a differentiation there.
Many theologians have wrestled with these texts.
But the crux of it is that women have to be submissive and allow their husbands to lead, and to represent Christ in the same way that the Church should submit to Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to move in God's order.
The enemy wants to turn everything upside down. In deliverance, we observe this all of the time, particularly with the spirit of Jezebel.
If Jezebel is tolerated in the marriage, then God's order will be removed and there can be no covering.
It's the same example in the Book of Kings with the story of Jezebel and Ahab. That split the whole kingdom.
The 10 northern tribes of Israel eventually got lost.
Ahab was a king. He represented the husband and he tolerated Queen Jezebel. Doing that will destroy any marriage.
Jezebel resists God's order. This principality will spiritually and physically try to desecrate any marriages standing with God.
You must stand firm and not compromise the Word of God.
Likewise, with the spirit of Ahab God's order is compromised with submission to the Jezebel spirit.
These two spirits really are responsible for a large proportion of marriages being abandoned.
This is also the case with many Churches where God's order and authority has been compromised.
With Churchianity today, Jezebel gets in the leadership and you can see the type and shadow between Church and the marriage.
Many Churches have huge division and problems especially when they deviate from the Word of God and get into compromise and traditions of men.
They leaven the Word. You cannot leaven the Word.
A little leaven will leaven the whole lump.
It is really important that you recognize that God can truly and fully bless a godly marriage where there is submission and order to His Word.
Do not compromise
Putting on Christ is Freedom From Sin
If we try to cover our own sin we will never get anywhere.
By faith, we must see ourselves FREE from shame, guilt, and condemnation.
The more you trust in the Law, the more you will wrestle and furnish yourself with fig leaves.
If you want to go under the Law, then you are going to get a whole stack of fig leaves. You're just going to be forever sewing them together and trying to cover your sin. It will never accomplish anything.
Jesus fulfilled the Law for you so you have victory through Him only.
Nothing else.
Where there is no Law there is no sin. You are not under sin now. You are in Christ. Those who are in Christ are not under sin.
Sin has no dominion or power over you.
Galatians 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
That's why you have to be very careful and examine yourself to make sure the light is with you. If you are stuggling with sin, then you must ask yourself what are you covered by?
John 8:35-36 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
The Lord's garment (covering) is an exchange for your old fig leaves and self effort. You must take up your cross and die daily in order to walk in them.
Everything you have is by grace. In trusting in Him you will watch your fig leaves shrivel away.
God gives you a robe of righteousness to hide the shame of your nakedness. He removes the fig leaves and makes you righteous.
You then must identify yourself as a new creation in Christ and know that all things are new.
You have to see yourself, by faith, as the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ, free from all bondage, free from the Law of Sin and Death, free from all condemnation, free from shame, free from guilt, and free from every false covering that Satan will try to smother you with and rob you of your inheritance in Christ.
Do not go under any false coverings: the covering of men.
If a Church tells you that you must be under their covering that is a lie. Do not go there.
Jesus Christ is your covering, not denominations, Churches, or any demonic spirits.
