The Message of the Cross Prayer

Heavenly Father

The message of the Cross prayer, thankyou Jesus for the Cross, it represents the greatest example of Love, and the World’s greatest hope. Thank you for taking my place, bearing my sins and giving me new life.

Help me to never forget the love you demonstrated on that cross by bearing that shame.

Lord, I agree with your Word, I deny myself and to take up my Cross and follow You.

Lord, I repent and ask forgiveness for all the times I have failed to die to SELF, attempting to do things my way as well as being led by the flesh and not by your Spirit.

Help me to understand to message of the Cross and live in your Power by YOUR Spirit.

I declare… I have been crucified with you Jesus; and it is no longer I who live, but you that lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in you Lord, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Galatians 2:20:

Lord Jesus, I declare I have been baptized into your death, buried with you through baptism, and raised from the dead by your Glory so I can now walk in the newness of Life.

I declare, I have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.  Galatians 5:24

And I can do nothing without you Lord.

Therefore, I confess that I have died to Sin and am no longer a slave to its control, I declare by faith I am now a slave to your righteousness Lord and by so doing an heir with you Lord, walking in your victory over sin! Help me to discern evil and turn from it.

I take up my cross because whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of you Lord.

Matthew 10:38

I declare I am righteous in you because you took my sin on that Cross and paid the price for me have and now cleansed me of all my sins therefore, I am justified by your precious Blood.

I renounce all idolatry, false religion, lust of the eyes, pride of life, addictions and the love of the world including EVERYTHING that I have placed before or above You, Lord Jesus Christ.

Please show me, Lord any idols that need to be cast down. Help me Lord to pull them down!

I renounce and repent for all rebellion against You, Lord.

Please show me, Lord, any rebellion that I need to turn from (Wait on the Lord to answer)

I renounce all the works of the flesh and choose to walk in the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

I renounce everything that would make me an enemy of the Cross of Christ. I repent for making my flesh / belly / appetites / carnal desires, my god … and for setting my mind on earthly things (Philippians 3:18-19) and the things of men, rather than of God (Matthew 16:23)

Lord, renew in me a right Spirit, transform me by the renewing of my mind by your Spirit.

Teach me how to walk as you walked in the Power of your Holy Spirit,  

Lord Jesus, you showed us that the narrow gate, the Cross.

I need Your help to deal with the flesh, and with “self” … empower me with the help I need.

Let me live in the power of your sacrifice, walking in your grace and share the Hope of the Cross with others every day.

Lord, I thank You for YOUR everlasting Love and Life!!

I commit all my works to you Lord, so that my thoughts may be established. Proverbs 16:3

Help me, Lord to be pleasing in your sight & to walk with You in perfect relationship.

May I boast in nothing but the message of the Cross of my Lord Jesus Christ. For it is the power of God and the wisdom of God for Salvation.
