How to Walk in the Spirit, Part Two

We are the church and Jesus's body. We have the fullness of Him and He fills all of us with His wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

Hebrews 12:28-29 Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.

The Holy Spirit is a consuming fire. He brings purity, unity, and solidarity. He always glorifies Jesus Christ. He guides and leads us into all truth.

In the Old Testament, God's people did not have the Holy Spirit abiding in them like we do today. In the Old Testament, the people of God were led by the letter of the Law. However, in the New Testament, which is a better covenant, you are now being led by the Holy Spirit.

Those who are led by the Spirit are the sons of God.

Part One Review

Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would lead us and show us all truth. The promised gift of the Holy Spirit first came on the day of Pentecost.

You are now under a new Law, the Law of Liberty, where you are being led by the Holy Spirit, and not the letter of the Law. The letter of the Law was the Old Testament Covenant.

Jesus fulfilled the requirements of the Law for us on the Cross of Calvary. Jesus said, "It is finished".

He's taken the Law of God and written it on our hearts by His Spirit. You naturally know now how not to sin. The Law taught you what sin was. But now, you are not under that Law of Sin and Death any longer. You are now under the Law of Liberty in Christ Jesus, where you have been set free!

Jesus paid the price of sin for us and then gave us His righteousness.

Be aware of the flesh and the battle that is going on in your members: the flesh warring against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh. You are made up of flesh, soul, and spirit.

One of the most important concepts for you to understand as a believer is your new position in Christ and what the Cross has accomplished.

It is essential that you be able to distinguish between the Old and New Covenants.

The Old Covenant was a type and a shadow, but the New Covenant is the light. The light has come and that light is Jesus Christ. The Old Covenant was a tutor to bring us to Christ Jesus.

It is a better Covenant that Jesus has established for us.

Without faith, it is impossible to walk in the Spirit.

Faith must be established and learned. It's not just having knowledge, but walking by faith.

Knowing that the fullness of the Godhead is now in you so that you are one with Christ.

You need to understand that you have been bought by the blood of Jesus Christ. You are not your own, but are now the temple of the Holy Spirit. God has filled you with His Spirit so that you are now one with Christ.

Since you have been purchased by His blood and are now one with Him, you must now abide in His Word. You are now the temple of God. The Old Man has died.

Entering God's rest is the key to abiding in the Spirit.

The rest of God is no longer a single day, the Sabbath, as it was in the Old Testament. The

New Testament is about spiritual rest which is every day.

Twenty-four hours a day.

Many Christians have not yet understood this revelation. The new Sabbath Law is about resting from our works and abiding in Christ's works.

Walking In the Spirit: Cutting Off the Flesh

Romans 8:12-14 So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

How do you put to death the flesh?

By the Sword of the Spirit.

Colossians 3:5 Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

For you to overcome the passion and work of the flesh, which is idolatry, you have to cut the flesh off with the Sword of the Spirit.

Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.  And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

The Word of God is very powerful.

The Word, the Sword of the Spirit is the one thing that the enemy fears the most.

Jesus is the Word of God.

The enemy has told me that. I have actually asked them what they fear the most. Their response was, "The Sword of the Spirit."

It cuts like butter on a hot day.

They tremble when you speak the Word by faith.

When you speak the Word of God in the Spirit by faith, that's when the demons will take notice and flee.

This also cuts off the work of the flesh.

It's important for you to understand that to walk in the Spirit is to abide in His Word.

The Word of God will remove the desire and the dominion of the Law of Sin and Death and the flesh.

It is a very powerful weapon.

Joshua used His sword to defeat His enemies, the Canaanites, in the Promised Land.

God told Joshua to be very strong and courageous.

With his sword, he went in and destroyed all His enemies.

This is a type and shadow of how you must also use the Sword of the Spirit to destroy your spiritual enemies. This also includes the flesh.

The sword cuts off the enemy and the flesh.

The Canaanites were a type and shadow of the flesh and demons.

All the tribes in the land of Canaan were all types and shadows of what are today our spiritual enemies, hosts, and principalities that have been assigned against us.

We are not wrestling against flesh and blood but against powers, principalities, and spiritual wickedness in high places.

Everything is from the flesh in the Old Testament and has been translated into the spirit in the New Testament.

The weapons of our warfare now are spiritual and mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds.

It is very important that you understand to walk in the Spirit now is to use the weapons of your warfare, which is your spiritual armor.

Your spiritual armor is Christ.

Jesus Christ is your armor.

So, you can see that the Lord has drawn a parallel between the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Joshua's sword is a type and shadow in the natural. The Sword of the Spirit is the fulfillment of that type and shadow in the spiritual realm under the New Covenant.

Joshua used the sword to defeat his enemies.

In your Promised Land, your inheritance is now in the spirit.

Your weapons, in order for you take back your land, which is really the area of your soul, which is being restored and renewed day by day (Romans 12:1-2).

You are being transformed by the washing of the Word.

The parallel between the Old and New now is defeating your enemies with your spiritual sword, which is the Word of God, and the Spirit.

That is why walking in the Spirit is so important.

When you walk in the Spirit, you are using this Sword.

In fact, you are using all the weapons of warfare, which is the full armor of God.

Yoked to Jesus: Abiding in His Strength

2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

The word for infirmities is actually translated as both infirmities and weaknesses. In the right context it should actually be weaknesses.

2 Corinthians 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Who are you yoked to?

Are you yoked to the flesh or are you yoked to the Spirit?

Jesus Christ is the Spirit.

So, who are you yoked to?

Are you going to be trusting in the arm of the flesh?

Or are you going to be trusting in the righteous right arm of the Lord, which is in his power and in His strength?

Here Paul is declaring and boasting that he takes pleasure in all of these things knowing that

Jesus is going to get the glory and that His grace is sufficient.

It really is resting in Christ.

This is the kind of understanding that you have to have.

Jesus has already done it for you.

He has already prepared the way for you. He has accomplished everything for you.

Are You Striving or Abiding?

  • STOP - Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10

  • KNEEL - Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. James 4:10

  • PRAY - And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Psalm 50:15

Lean not on your own understanding and cast all of your cares upon Him because He loves you. Stop being anxious about anything. He has prepared the way.

Jesus is holding you in the palms of His hands. He will take care of you.

This is how you must see yourself. In Christ. Abiding in Him.

Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The word "yoked" in context means that you are literally tied together with something else.

When cattle were yoked together they were held together by a lump of timber generally. They couldn't get away from each other.

That is the same thing that the Word is telling us here: to be yoked to Jesus. It literally means to be entwined with Jesus. You are one. He is in you and you are in Him. You can't separate the two.

The Word declares that. Nothing can separate you from the love of Jesus.

So, this is your security.

Your security is knowing, by faith, that you are in Him and He is in you.

Entering His Rest in the Spirit

Are you yoked to your works or His works?

It is very important that you understand this.

If you are yoked to self you are just going to have anxiety, strife, fear, and the work of the flesh.

Who are you yoked to?

The middle letter in the word sin is "I".

Are you yoked to sin? Are you yoked to "I"?

That's self.

Hebrews 4:9-13 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

This scripture is so powerful.

The Lord even knows your thoughts.

He is in you and you are in Him. You are one with the Lord.

That is by faith. You have to believe that.

The Lord even knows your thoughts. When you think something He knows it.

That's how close God is to you.

When you understand that, then you can rest in Him.

You can rest from your works and know that He is God.

So, you enter the rest of God now through obedience by trusting in His Word and being led by the Spirit.

This is not about one day, but every day now in the New Covenant.

The Letter will tell you it's one day, but in the New Covenant it is every day because Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath. He is the Lord of the temple and you are His temple now.

He is the Lord over you.

You have to rest from your works and abide in His works. Rest from your works, trust Him, and let Him lead you.

If you are trusting in self, then you are operating in the flesh.

Then you will not be entering His rest.

You will be like the children of Israel who never entered His rest because of disobedience and rebellion.

Fasting Denies Self, Flesh, and Your Own Works

Isaiah 58:6-9 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?  Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward. Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am...

That's how close the Lord is.

The Lord is in you. He is inside of you.

What fasting does here is that it causes you to hide yourself from your own flesh.

It breaks the yoke of wickedness, every yoke that would prevent you from entering into the spirit.

It is denying the flesh. it is denying self.

It is a key to walking in the Spirit.

Fasting opens you up to the spirit.

While you fast, you can have your Bible on your dinner plate. You can then feed on the Word of God.

The Word of God is spiritual food to build up your spiritual man.

Your spiritual man becomes strong and powerful when you feed it the Word of God and deny the flesh.

Fasting really does accelerate this process. It breaks yokes. It breaks bondage and anything that would try to exalt itself against the knowledge of God.

A fast is not a hunger strike designed to convince God to release what he has, up to now, held back.

Fasting is not a last-ditch effort to get through to God. Instead, it is a means of sharpening your spiritual senses so that God can get through to you.

Resting in His Spirit, Not Your Flesh

Isaiah 30:15-16 For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not. But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.

We see here that the Lord is trying to turn His people away from their own dead works.

But, His people were blind and rebellious, seeking to escape by riding on their own swift horses.

However, those who pursued them would be swift also!

This is a recipe for disaster, which ultimately leads to death.

The Lord is telling His people to return and rest in Him.

He is your security.

You must be spiritually minded.

To walk in the Spirit is to be spiritually minded.

That means knowing God and resting in Him.

He is your eternal security now and not your flesh.

The Israelites thought that they could escape their enemies on horses. But, the enemy also had swift horses.

If you think you are going to escape through your own understanding, then think again.

The Word says not to lean on your own understanding.

God will give you understanding. He will give you the correct thoughts.

He will give you a plan.

He will lead you and guide you.

First, you need to be still and know that He is God (Psalm 46:10).

Psalm 116:7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.

Do you see how in scripture how important it is for you to rest?

Praying In the Spirit in Tongues

All of the spiritual gifts are awesome and powerful.

But, tongues are one of the ways that God uses to get into the Spirit. They are very powerful.

Do not underestimate the power of tongues.

Tongues is God's way of you entering into the Spirit and allowing the Holy Spirit to intercede through you.

Isaiah 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

How awesome is that?

Tongues bring you into God's rest.

That's pretty amazing.

Entering into God's spirit is entering into His rest.

This is the peace that passes all understanding.

It is so important for you to enter in by tongues.

I pray in tongues regularly and sometimes I have to remind myself to do it.

1 Corinthians 14:1-2 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

Do you see that?

No one understands. Not even the devil. The demons don't even know.

1 Corinthians 14:3-5 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

Do not downgrade tongues because of this scripture.

Paul is merely pointing to the fact that prophecy is for the edification of all.

Tongues can become prophecy when they are interpreted.

Tongues in and of itself is a very powerful gift.

Paul boasted that he spoke tongues more than anyone of them.

It is very important for you to get this gift if you don't already have it because Paul said that he desired that everyone speak in tongues.

The Value of Speaking in Tongues

  • Tongues can be used for devotional purposes (1 Corinthians 14:2)

  • Tongues can be used so that the Holy Spirit can reveal divine secrets to the believer (1 Corinthians 14:2)

  • Tongues can be used to build up the believer

    • in 1 Corinthians 14:4, Paul stated that "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself..."

    • Edify means to build up or charge. It actually means to charge up like a battery. It builds you up with power. It builds up your spirit man. It also allows the Holy Spirit to pray for and intercede for you. The Word says when you pray in a tongue the mind is unfruitful. You are not praying with your mind, but with your spirit.

    • Praying in tongues is for spiritual edification not physical or mental edification. That's why a lot of people will think that you're crazy. The mind is unfruitful. It's your spirit man that is fruitful.

  • Tongues and interpretation of tongues aren't just for the benefit of the believer. Tongues also minister to unbelievers (1 Corinthians 14:22). Tongues when they're interpreted will minister to unbelievers.

  • Tongues is a supernatural way to magnify God (Acts 10:46).

If you want to really walk in the Spirit and have revelation and miracles in your life, speaking in tongues are a big key to walking in the Spirit.

The Anointing By the Holy Spirit

1 John 2:20-21 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

The Lord has given you the Holy Spirit, which is in this scripture referred to as the anointing.

He teaches and guides you in all truth.

When did the anointing come upon Jesus?

Matthew 3:16-17 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

What was the result of Jesus's baptism?

He began to preach. This is the fruit of what happened.

We have Jesus, the Word and then we have the anointed Word, which is Jesus being anointed by the Holy Spirit in the Jordan.

Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

He was able to say (Luke 4:18-19), "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."

He had authority. This anointing gave Him the ability to set the captives free, heal the broken hearted, recover sight, cast out demons, set at liberty those who were oppressed.

The anointing gave Him authority. Luke 4:32, "And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power."

You can preach the Word. But, as Paul said, he didn't come to people with persuasive words but with power and demonstrations of the Holy Spirit.

That's what the real anointed believers need to walk in: their power and authority through the anointing by the Holy Spirit.

When you are walking in the Spirit, you will walk with the same anointing.

You have this anointing.

Demons began to cry out. Luke 4:34 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.

Many were healed. Luke 4:40 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.

The anointing of God, the Holy Spirit comes upon you and empowers you.

He empowers you to walk in the same way that Jesus walked.

The way that the Lord Jesus walked and talked is the way that you must walk and talk.

I asked the Lord, "What does the real Church look like, Lord?", because Jesus said that He was coming back for a glorious Church.

I had been somewhat disillusioned with thirty years of seeing a lot of Churches. I had become discouraged in a lot of ways."

Jesus said, "Look at me. I am the Church."

You are the Church in Him.

Who do you follow?

Who do you imitate?

Who should you imitate?

Are you to imitate this religious counterfeit that Satan has tried to create in many Christian's minds?

Or do you imitate the author and finished of your faith who is Jesus Christ?

He is who the Church should look like. He was the one who discipled the disciples. They looked to and followed after Jesus.

Jesus said, "Follow me".

So, what did Jesus do?

Whatever Jesus did, is what you should do also?

How do you do that?

You do that under the anointing.

The same way Jesus was anointed, you are anointed.

Jesus said to wait for the Holy Spirit at the day of Pentecost. That's when the Holy Spirit came and gave them power and authority.

They had the authority before but the Holy Spirit gave them power to become and really walk as Jesus walked.

Because Jesus had this anointing also. He demonstrated it and was our example.

To walk in the Spirit is to walk like Jesus also.

Faith Is the Key to Walking In the Spirit

2 Peter 1:2-3 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

If you are going to walk in the Spirit and abide in the Word of God and believe by faith, then these are the keys that Peter is saying that you will get. You will receive grace and peace.

In fact, they will be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ.

If you want to know more about Jesus and become more like Jesus, then these are the keys

to doing that.

First of all, you have to understand that the Lord has given you His divine power in all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him.

So, all of this has been given to you.

2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Jesus has already given all of these things to you in His promises. All of these things have been given unto you.

If you want to unlock all of these promises, they are in His Word.

You have to partake and abide in His Word by faith.

2 Peter 1:5- 8 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Each virtue activates the other. Everything is activated and produces love.

This divine power has been placed in each and every one of us.

He has given us all things. Jesus has literally given you the fullness of the Godhead inside of you spiritually.

It's all there. It's all there inside of you.

Everything has been given to you already.

How do you release that? How do you tap into it?

You tap into it by faith.

Faith is in the Spirit. it is by abiding in the promises and the Word of God by faith.

It is not doubting, but believing.

The keys here are faith, which produces virtue.

Virtue is being moral.

First of all, you have to decide to follow Jesus. You have to decide that you are going to do the right thing. You have to make a choice.

Are you going to do the right thing?

By doing that, you have to love the truth.

To love the truth is to love Jesus.

This virtue comes from loving Jesus.

Once you love Jesus, then you will receive knowledge.

This knowledge produces temperance.

Temperance then produces patience.

Patience produces godliness.

Godliness produces brotherly kindness.

Then brotherly kindness manifests itself into love.

These are the spiritual keys in which you enter into Christ.

If you have God and are not walking in these virtues, then something is wrong.

You have to make sure that your faith is in the promises of God, which have already been given to you.

2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

In order for you to do this, you have to deny the flesh.

You have to make a choice.

The virtue that we are talking about is really deciding to love Jesus.

It's a decision that you have to make in order to come to the truth.

The truth is Jesus.

So, it's deciding to become a moral person.

Then, what will happen is that all of these keys will bring you into God's perfect love.

Key: Faith in the Promises of God

James 1:2-3 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

1 Timothy 6:10-11 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

You can see here that these are the same keys that Peter wrote about.

You must pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness.

The whole message of the New Covenant is to love God and love your neighbor.

If you want to be in right standing with God, then you need to pursue righteousness in love.

With that, you will know God.

Without love it is impossible to know God.

The whole Law is fulfilled in love by faith.

So, walking in the Spirit is walking in love.

If you come to the point of walking in the Spirit, but are not walking in love, then you will become like a clanging symbol.

You will enter into dead works because those will be your own works.

The love that you want to partake in is the love of God, which is an agape love. You can never receive this kind of love from the world. Agape love can only be received through Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

It's very important for you to fight the good fight of faith.

This is a war. It's a battle.

You are in a war. This war is all around you.

It's the world.

You may be in the world but you are not of the world.

You have to recognize that in order to fight this fight, you have to fight it with faith.

The faith is by the Spirit abiding in God's promises and in His Word.

If you want to walk in the Spirit, then believe and abide in the Word.

Abide in God's promises.

Abiding in the promises is abiding in the Spirit.

It is abiding in the sword of the Spirit.

It's abiding in the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, the shoes of peace.

It's abiding in Christ in the full armor of God.

You are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

You are what the Bible describes as living stones and God's workmanship.

You by faith allow God's spirit to work through you.

Isn't that awesome when you understand that you've been created by God, in the righteousness of God, as a new born again, spiritual Man.

You are what the Bible calls a living stone.

You are God's workmanship.

Walking in the Spirit is laying hold of the eternal promises of God given to all of us by faith.

His promises are what the Holy Spirit will give you. The Word of God.

You must learn to rightly divide the Word of Truth.

One thing the Holy Spirit does is he gives you revelation of the truth. He gives you knowledge. he gives you understanding and wisdom.

When you are walking in the Spirit now, you are being led by the Word of Truth, rightly discerned by the Holy Spirit.

It is abiding in Him, the word of God.

Abiding in Jesus is abiding in His Word.

He has made this possible by filling you with His Holy Spirit who He said would guide and lead you into all truth.

Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

Knowing that you have received these precious promises already at Calvary (2 Peter 1:3), you can now fully rest in Him and enter through His gates with praise and thanksgiving in the power of His Spirit.

When you are resting in the Word of God and resting in Him, knowing that He has already granted to you all of these precious promises, that you've already received them, and that He has already done it for you at Calvary (as Jesus said, "It is finished."), you can now rest from your works and abide in His rest.

This is how you will enter in and walk in the Spirit.

When you receive this revelation and knowledge that it is already done, you are not to lean toward your own understanding but abide in Him in all your ways.

Then you will be able to praise Him.

Praise and thanksgiving is where you have to come to.

Then, you will enter into His gates.

You enter into the throne room of grace boldly so that you may receive from God.

You enter in by faith by abiding in the promises of God, the Word of God, the Word of Truth

You are being led by his Holy Spirit now, not being led by the Letter.

It is very important that you understand that the key to walking in the Spirit is to abide in the promise.

What is the promise?

It's already been given to you!

2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

This divine power has already been given to you. The Holy Spirit has given to you all things

that pertain to life and godliness.

It is already done. It has been given to you already.

Are you abiding and resting in this knowledge?

This is conditional.

In order for you to partake in this divine nature, you have to escape the corruption and lust of the world.

The way you do that is by using the Sword of the Spirit and the weapons of warfare, which are mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds.
